All Comics Messiahs Start At The Bottom
Stan Lee started out his career as an inkwell filler for the actual comic book artists of his day. He then graduated to lunch gofer, and soon moved up the food chain to pencil line eraser and proofreader. Eventually he got his break writing filler on Captain America. From there he was given backup stories, later followed by full stories. The rest is Marvel history thanks to Spider-Man, X-Men, etc.
Over the years Stan has risen to comic book and media infamy. Now, even “The Man” at 87 has returned to his roots and is back to writing pages for Spider-Man. The circle of life is complete.
